Re: 2005 - FYI online articles or discussions re. the search for Gareth
I have made a post on the Bootsnall site to highlight Gareth's case.

Re: 2005 - FYI online articles or discussions re. the search for Gareth
Thanks for the info; I don't know yet if that's the January 10 post or a new one. Did discover your postings on Trekinfo.com and on YetiZone just now, and was about to hunt for more postings to be recorded in this thread. So if there's anything I'm missing out on, pls. add them here and they'll be included in the thread, after which David or Adam can delete these replies to keep things "simple".
I'm not sure what David's plans are re. publicising about the availability of the new badges. But I imagine making a couple of posts about them in different places is necessary, because not "everybody" will visit the site or the runboard on a really regular basis.
bye.

The post I linked to above is a new one, it's called a "photo album" on the bootsnall site. I've posted a few images of Gareth, the badge and the News of the World article too.

Lost InThe Himalaya offline
It is with great regret that I have to confirm mieke's earlier edited post, the Lost In The Himalaya board has been taken offline.
I thank everyone for their support and efforts over the last few months and am sorry this has happened.
Regards

Other trekker missing in Nepal
posting a new reply in this thread, because the "Miscellaneous"-reply reached its max. bytes
Another trekker (US national) went missing, since July 22 '05 and presumably near the Khumbu Icefall (EBC).
Trevor Stokol - News from Everest (family webpage)
The account of events re. the current assistance and involvement of especially the US ambassador to Nepal, James Moriarty, and the Royal Nepalese Army as well is remarkable, if not important, in view of what happened last year after Gareth went missing. It's something to be thoroughly aware of in my opinion.
