1. From the 'Start' menu select 'Control Panel'
2. If you are viewing the Control Panel in "classic view" (all the icons are displayed individually) select the "Regional and Lanuages Options". If you are viewing the Control Panel in "category view" (there are only 10 icons and a heading which says 'Pick a category') select "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options" and then select "Regional and Lanuages Options".
3. Once you have made your selection a window will appear, choose the tab labelled 'Langages'.

If you wish to install Arabic, Armenian, Georgian, Hebrew, Indic, Thai and Vietnamese languages make sure the first box is ticked under the heading "Supplemental Language Support". If you wish to install Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages tick the second box.

For all other languages see the next steps.

4. If you press the button that says "Details..." a new window will open that is called "Text Services and Input Languages".
5. Press the "Add.." button and you will see a dialogue box which allows you to choose the various languages you can add.
6. Choose the languages you wish to add one by one. Don't worry too much about the 'Keyboard Language/IME' selection unless you want to be able to type in the chosen language(s) yourself.
7. Press "Apply" and then "OK".
8. Press "Apply" and "OK" again.
